Megan is an Oregon native who found home amidst SLO County’s charm and vibrant spirit, leading her to open the doors of Gypsy & Oak Salon in May 2014. Watching the salon grow into the warm, welcoming space it is today has been one of her greatest joys—where every guest feels pampered, valued, and beautiful in a relaxing atmosphere.
A stylist since 2006, Megan is deeply passionate about both hair and the guest experience. She believes in the transformative power of a great hair day—whether it’s the confidence boost of seamless, natural-looking extensions or the way soft, blended color can enhance someone’s features and brighten their overall look. She specializes in creating effortless, lived-in styles that grow out beautifully, making maintenance easier for her guests. She also loves working one-on-one with clients to develop custom hair routines that fit their lifestyle and hair goals.
When Megan isn’t behind the chair or strategizing for the salon, she’s soaking up quality time with her family—her firefighter husband, son, daughter, and two big dogs. She also loves unwinding with a challenging puzzle, hosting family and friends for a barbecue, and perfecting the ultimate popcorn topping combinations for the best at-home snack experience.
