  • We are located at 1977 Santa Barbara Ave #101 in San Luis Obispo. There’s parking in the lot behind the salon, across the street in the lot by the railroad museum or on High Street & surrounding neighborhood.

  • Come with clean, dry hair so we can see your natural texture and current color. Bring a few inspiration photos and be ready to share your hair history, routine, and goals. Arrive a few minutes early to settle in and enjoy a beverage.

  • Of course! Feel free to bring work with you. We have lap desks and portable phone chargers available for you to use to make things more comfortable for you too.

  • We offer complimentary coffee, tea, oat milk lattes, diet coke, sparkling water, champagne, and a variety of snacks. You’ll also have access to Wi-Fi, portal phone chargers, throw blankets, eye pillows, a back massager, and a workspace if you need to use your laptop during your visit.

  • Yes, we offer consultations for hair color, smoothing treatments, and hair extensions to assess your hair type and discuss your style goals. This ensures we can recommend the best hair service to achieve your desired look.

  • We do accept walk-ins but we cannot garauntee that we will have a stylist available.  It doesn't hurt to text us ahead to see if there are any last minute openings!

  • We carry Davines, Goldie Locks, and Kitsch products in the salon. Your stylist can help recommend the best options for your hair, and select products are also available to shop online.

  • Gypsy & Oak is a known for their team of skilled stylists offering a variety of specialties, services, and pricing. We use high-quality professional hair products and take a personalized approach to every guest’s hair goals.
